Which combination cause less inflammatory response during laparoscopic hysterectomy? Ligasure plus monopolar cautery or harmonic plus bipolar cautery?

Objective: We aimed to compare the inflammatory response with alterations in hemogram parameters, patients who underwent laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy for benign gynecologic conditions ligasure plus monopolar cautery or harmonic conventional bipolar cautery.
 Methods: Patients Laparoscopic between January 2017 2022 pathology were identified. divided into two group, according instruments used during surgery. Instruments surgeons preference. Preoperative postoperative first 24 hours hematocrit (HCT), WBC, trombocyt, neutrophil- lymphocyte (NLR), platelet-lymphocyte (PLR) ratio, mean platelet volume- ratio (MPVLR) red cell distribution width- (RPR) values compared.
 Results: During study period, a total of 462 pathology. After exclusion, 212 included study. İn 147 operated electrocauter 65 scalpel electrocautery. regardless procedure, WBC RPR count increase, trombocyt decrease both group but markers count, neutrophyl, NLR, PLR MPVLR changed less which shows inflamatuar this group.
 Conclusions: Ligasure compared cause more changes complete blood values. However, further studies are needed show whether these laboratory findings affect clinical situations.
